The Management Committee provides leadership and strategic direction for the club. The office bearers are the President, Secretary and Treasurer and they hold legal and financial delegation and responsibility in accordance with the Association Rules and the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 administered by the Office of Fair Trading.
Management Committee roles are for a period of 2 years with elections occurring at Annual General Meetings (AGMs) with positions 1, 3 and 5 declared vacant on odd years and positions 2 and 4 declared vacant on even years. If positions become vacant between these times then the Management Committee fills the vacancy and it is readvertised for election at the next AGM. This season all Management Committee roles were advertised for filling as the Secretary and Cricket Operations roles were filled on a casual basis after the 2016 AGM.
Management Committee members can not hold any Management Committee role for more than four (4) consecutive years and must retire for a minimum of one (1) year before being eligible to be elected to or fill a Management Committee role. During the first 4 years cycle of a new rolling governance system some positions maximum years service will be three (3) years ONLY as their 1st term will be 1 year not 2 years.
The AGM is held in early November. Prior to the meeting an AGM Notice and Application Pack for the elected Management Committee positions are distributed in accordance with the Club Rules.
Financial members will be entitled to vote and we need at least one representative from each team to attend. Team contacts and Managers please discuss with your team who that will be. Volunteers are expected to attend as this is included on Task Sheets for each volunteer role.
