Make a Difference: Coach
The role of the Coach is to assist players of junior teams to develop their skills through training and encouragement. Coaches ensure that games are played according to the rules and traditions of the game. Your approach to coaching will shape how your players perform and make them want to keep coming back to training and also improve their skills. It's important to be aware of the different club policy and rules.

At the start of each season the club hosts a Junior Coaches and Managers meeting which helps induct Managers of junior teams and allows you to ask any questions you may have.
We have a volunteer reward system to show our appreciation for taking on the Coach’s role. If you're interested in applying for a Coach or Assistant Coach’s role, please consider the Team Coach/Assistant Coach Task Sheet and if still interested advise the Junior or Youth Cricket Manager. Throughout the season if you have any questions Coaches can contact your age groups' Cricket Manager (Junior/Youth/Senior).
Registering as a Coach with Cricket Australia, as a Volunteer on MyCricket and Applying for a Blue Card
1. Register as a coach on the Cricket Coaches Australia website.
2. Register as a Club Member with WPC Cricket here
3. Apply for your Blue Card and/or email Blue Card details to secretary@wpccricket.com.au

The Cricket Coaches Australia website is packed full of great resources and is where you can sign up to do coaching courses. WPC Cricket reimburse all coaches who complete their Community Coach accreditation.
