Cricket Blast Program

WPC Cricket Club participates in the Woolworths Cricket Blast program, a fun, activity-based introduction to cricket. These programs are ideal for beginner cricketers and builds a good foundation and then players can progress to the Junior Cricket or Girl's Cricket competitions.

The Cricket Blast program teaches the basic cricket skills such as catching and throwing through fun game-based activities. As skill levels develop this include a modified cricket game format for kids with basic cricket skills; every child gets to bat, bowl and field and this fun and social format.

The program runs on a Friday evening from 5:30 – 6.30pm at the CJ Greenfield cricket oval at Freeman Road, Richlands. The program runs in the school 4th term and 1st term, so early October to early December with the school holiday break and resumes late January through to late March.

Blaster players are supplied with a shirt and hat relevant to their program. These come from Cricket Australia and are delivered to their home address.
