Our Volunteers

WPC Cricket thrives because of its dedicated volunteers. As a not-for-profit, community-based club, we rely on the passion and commitment of individuals who generously donate their time and skills. Volunteers are the backbone of our club, playing a vital role in everything from club management to day-to-day operations.

We're Always Looking for New Volunteers!

Whether you're a parent, player, or simply a cricket enthusiast, we welcome your involvement. If you're interested in volunteering in any capacity, please reach out to the Secretary on secretary@wpccricket.com.au.

Important Note:

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our young players, a valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check or exemption) is a mandatory requirement for most volunteers at WPC Cricket. This is also a necessary requirement for volunteer payments processed through our Volunteer Reward System.

How You Can Contribute

There are many ways to make a difference:

  • Coaching (Service Delivery): Nurture young talent and share your love for the game.

  • Team Captains and Managers (Service Delivery): Keep things organized and ensure a smooth season for your team.

  • Committee Member (Strategic): Shape the club's future by serving on the management committee.

  • Operational Support: Support club operations – roles include Cricket Managers – Junior, Youth, Girls, Senior, Registrar, Website Admin, Social Media, Equipment, Director of Coaching, Merchandise, Grants etc.

  • General Support: From canteen duty to ground maintenance, every bit helps.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering is rewarding in more ways than one:

  • Community: Connect with fellow cricket enthusiasts and build lasting friendships.

  • Personal Growth: Develop new skills and gain valuable experience.

  • Fun: Be part of the action and enjoy the camaraderie of match or social days.

  • Financial Benefits: Our Volunteer Reward System can help offset your playing costs.
