Junior Cricket

At WPC, we believe everyone can play and we want to share our love of the sport with the next generation. We play junior cricket within the Metropolitan South West (MSW) District.  Additionally we participate in the Brisbane Metropolitan Cricket (BMC) Under 17 Club Challenge.  Junior players participate in 3 stages, as identified within the Cricket Australia framework. This means players are grouped with similar skillsets and the game format is tailored for each level – see Cricket Australia’s Junior Pathway (pdf 6.2mb).

The summer season runs in the school 4th term and 1st term, so early October to early December with the school holiday break and resumes late January through to late March. Some pre-season and team selection activities are run in August and September.  The BMC competition starts earlier in September.

The winter season runs from April to August.
