As a volunteer-driven organisation, WPC relies on the active involvement of every member, player, and parent. We strongly encourage everyone to consider how they can contribute and your participation is essential to the ongoing success of our club. Thank you to those people who are volunteering. There are currently some junior teams with Coach or Manager roles not filled. If you are a parent of one of these teams, please work with the other parents to identify who will take on these vital roles. Task sheets are available for each position, there is an induction process, monetary volunteer rewards and a free blue club shirt. Also, support is provided from your support person (Cricket Managers for team roles) and the Secretary as the club volunteer coordinator. For more information contact Ellen secretary@wpccricket.com.au

Thank you to Troy for the terrific work they he has done at CJ this week. Troy has mowed the grounds including the outer areas, edges and high grass between the fields and the nets pathway. It looks magnificent. Also thanks to Liesel who has cleaned the nets and surrounding areas which also looked magnificent for the juniors batting master classes today. I don’t think I’ve seen the grounds look so good in a while. A bit of rain now might help with the dry spots. Thank you both for your effort and dedication to WPC.

We're half way through the Local Matters promotion with Grill'd Mt Ommaney. Ellen and Robin visited last night to do our bit for the club. The club jar has some tokens in it and it would be nice to top it up. If you are thinking of dining options please consider Grill'd Mt Ommaney. They are also providing junior player awards and a gift voucher for our upcoming Volunteer Celebration.

The WPC AGM was held on 10 November 2025.
Thanks to the people who attended either in person or via Teams.
We are pleased to advise that the members of the WPC Management Committee are now:
President: Abhay Dhir and Peter Davies will be co-Presidents and will have 1 vote between them on the Committee
Secretary: Ellen Ferris
Treasurer: Chaminda Divitotawela
Cricket Operations: Ruban Kasinathan
Facility Operations: Shail Parikh

Congratulations to new members Abhay, Peter and Chaminda.

It is a great outcome that all people who indicated their interest in the future of the club by nominating for roles have been included on the Management Committee.
Thank you to Damitha Bogahawatta, the outgoing President and Dulantha Rajapkshe, the outgoing Treasurer for their service on the Management Committee and to the club over the last 4 years (as President) and much longer as a club volunteer for Damitha and 3 years for Dulantha.
