Seniors – QSDCA and Warehouse – We had a very strong seniors playing group in the 2024/25 summer season and are wanting to grow our teams for the forthcoming season.
If you know of anyone interested in joining our senior Saturday teams or if you are an existing Saturday player (QSDCA competition) you can contact Shail Parikh who coordinates team selection and training activities facilityops@wpccricket.com.au or Greg White, Senior Cricket Manager gregoryrosswhite@yahoo.com.au Training is expected to start in the near future with competition commencing mid-September.
Seniors who are interested in Sunday cricket which we play in the Warehouse competition can contact Kamal Wanigasooriya kamwani10@gmail.com
Volunteers – We will need volunteers – Captains, Coaches and Managers to help make our teams function effectively. For those people who take on a specific role a volunteer reward is available. Please think about what you can do and how you can help. If you are interested in volunteering with the club please contact Ellen Ferris secretary@wpccricket.com.au or the relevant Cricket Manager.
CJ Greenfields Lit Training Nets Upgrade Project – We are very excited to advise that we are about to commence a significant upgrade to the CJ Greenfields training facility. This will include a lighting upgrade, resurfacing of the nets and run up areas (to include removal of the rubber), repositioning of the container, some additional concreting and addressing the drainage issues. We look forward to a much improved facility. While the works occur, there will be some disruptions and inconvenience with regard to training, and we are working hard to keep the timeframe for this to a minimum.
John ‘Dinger’ Bell training nets – Eddie Gilbert Memorial Field Wolston Park – While the work is occurring at the CJ training we will be using the training nets at Wolston Park. This is a new 6 lane facility provided for our club by Qld Police Service. We hope you appreciate and enjoy using these facilities.
Next General Meeting – This will be held on Sunday 20 July at 2pm at Wolston Park (with a Teams option). Agenda items will include detailed planning for the forthcoming summer season. We want your input to the planning and to give you the opportunity to hear what is happening, ask questions etc. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend.
