Thanks, Chaminda for your contribution over several years to the club in managing our website, Microsoft office account, shared drive and club e-mail box admin.
Chaminda will be taking on the Equipment Officer and First Aid Contact role. He will be working on putting more structure into the provision of and access to playing and training equipment. Please contact him equipment@wpccricket.com.au if you have any suggestions or questions.
Thanks to the Gabi, Mark and Chaminda for putting up their hands to volunteer for the club.
QSDCA Awards Winners - Congratulations to Greg White and Troy Shepherd for their recent QSDCA awards.
Greg has been awarded the QSDCA President's Achievement Award in recognition of his significant input to community cricket. Anyone who knows Greg appreciates how much he puts into our club and all cricket activities associated with the club not to mention his dedication to consistently producing the best wickets and fields possible. This is despite often contending with adverse weather conditions, kangaroos and other challenges.
Troy has been awarded the QSDCA Jim Noble Award for the player who has taken the greatest number of wickets (51) for the season including semi and grand finals, regardless of grade. Troy also won the Bowling Award (Herb Kellermeir Award) for the best average in his grade B2. What a great achievement! Of course, Troy is also known for his efforts as the curator at CJ Greenfields where he like Greg takes great pride in consistently producing the best wickets and fields possible while also contending with many challenges.
Clothing - If you have clothing needs, please contact Brad Freeman merchandise@wpccricket.com.au We will soon be adding a new item to the clothing range – jackets which will be ideal for those associated with winter cricket or for the early part of the spring/summer season.
