Contribution from Everyone

WPC is a volunteer-run club, relying on the support of every member, player, and parent. We encourage everyone to consider how they can contribute. Each team requires specific volunteers:

  • Juniors: Coach and Manager

  • Seniors: Captain and Vice-Captain/Manager

Task sheets and volunteer rewards are available for each role. It is mandatory for every team to have a Manager, who is responsible for communication. Your involvement helps our club thrive.

Volunteer Role Updates

  • Anu Perera has resigned from the Cricket Operations Manager role on the Management Committee and has moved into the Director of Coaching role.

  • Ruban Kasinathan has been appointed to fill the vacant Cricket Operations Manager role.

  • Chaminda Divitotawela has been appointed via succession planning for the Treasurer role and will work with Dulantha Rajapakshe to learn the Treasurer functions in the lead up to the AGM election.

  • Liesel Chiverton has taken up the Social Media Admin role.

Who’s Who in the Club

The club has a three-level structure:

  • Strategic: Management Committee

  • Operational: Cricket Managers and other roles supporting the Management Committee

  • Service Delivery: Captains, Coaches, Managers, Curators

The names and contact details for the Management Committee and Operational volunteers are available on the website under the "Our Volunteers" tab: https://www.wpccricket.com.au/ Please use these contacts for support or questions.

All WPC players, except those in the Blasters program, are required to wear a club shirt and either a club hat or cap. These items can be purchased from the Merchandising Officer, Brad Freeman, via email at merchandise@wpccricket.com.au or by phone 0407 316 503.
